    Anyone pick it up yet?

It looks good, but there are no reviews online... that worries me.

How's that new hot pursuit one? I really enjoyed the originals back in the day.

We have it at work, I enjoy playing it. Granted i never get more than an hour to get into the game, but it is fun. There really isn't any upgrade options, and it drives like an arcade game... but it reminds me of the 1st NFS i had on the CPU.

I don't know, GT5 really never pulled me in. I like it, but it felt the same as Prologue and the other GTs. I wanted more customization and better graphics. It sounds like / looks like Shift 2 has some "arcade" style graphics that look great. From what i read the night racing is super cool too.... but it just has no reviews out there. Which is usually a bad thing. I might pick it up this weekend, but i hope someone does before me so i don't make a bad purchase.... like Dirt 2.

They need to go back to what made the NFS games fun to play, and thats open roam maps and pick up races. Now that theyve gone all pansy and had to put racing on the track to please the parents who dont want their kids going around racing on the streets. They need to remake NFS Most Wanted, IMO it was the best one they ever made.

I agree but make it like a sim. Just because its open world street racing, doesn't mean people don't want tweak the cars. That was the biggest downfall of those games. Very generic tweaking and upgrading!

Yeah thats why it would be nice if they just remade the open world games, but with updated cars, and more tuning capabilities. Both are possible with the systems now, and the amount of information that can be stored on disks. As for now all we have left is Midnight Club, and even those are pretty limited on the modding that can be done, no to mention generic sounding cars...Not sure if that really pisses off any one else

idk, seems like NFS is just going after GT. personally i didnt like the new NFS Hot pursuit too much like burnout no realistic driving at all. im just glad i hear other people wanting NFS to go back to the open grid street racing. midnight clus is the closest thing to what NFS used to be but even that isnt great

I'm waiting to see if there will be a demo out that will be compatible with the Logitech steering wheel. I really hate being mislead when these large gaming companies try and sell their products by showcasing all these big name pro drivers, F1 was a waste. I'm holding out till the local stores have it for rent before I make any type of purchase.

Well I found a video review

As a side note, after 650MB (4 updates) of waiting .... somewhere around an hour of updates for GT5 I went on an played again last night. I might just stick with GT5 for now. I really like the helmet cam in Shift 2, but every review i read they say "is isn't GT5".....
