I have a brand new box (of 4) NGK LFR7AIX spark plugs. These are one step colder than stock. Intended for 2005 STi. $25.00
Colder plugs means they conduct heat away from the spark plug tip faster. Therefore the tip stays cooler and won't pre-ignite the fuel/air mixture from being too hot(ignite the mixture before the spark does). The charge gets hotter with more boost/compression/etc and thus the plugs gets hotter as well. When your charge ignites before its supposed to, you get knock, and its basically like taking a large hammer and hitting the dome of your piston with it, which is obviously very bad. Detonation is a bit different, and I won't get into that. Good deal on plugs BTW.
If Rich does not take them and these are not the "copper" plugs I here about I will take them. In other words factory type plugs just colder.
Well if he wants them then he can have them otherwise I will take them. Just about due for some new plugs. I will get them from you at Ice Races if he does not take them.
