My car is scaring me. I took off from a stop this morning and my front wheels were spinning. Is it a transfer clutch problem? Is it my tranny? (secretly hoping it is) What could be going on?!!

    Check Engine Light on?

Tried on a more slipery surface like sand or gravel and see if your rear tires kick in?

Any funny noises over the last few days/weeks?

Have you touched anything to do with your drivetrain lately?

What's more slippery than soaking wet pavement?
No check engine light or any other light either.
    No strange noises.
    Nothing odd.
    No touching of the car.
    No overly hard driving.

    Hmmmm....what's IIRC?
I've driven in the rain B4 though and didn't have this slipping problem. It really seems like 100 front 0 rear right now. I even have the torque steer under throttle.

    I'll check the fuse too.

Ok, on my auto, the fuse engages the fwd mode, and with no fuse, it is in awd. I know with my new turbo that when it kicks, it will break the front tires loose alot more than the rears. I would give it a try in some loose sand (dirt road) and go back and look at the marks.

my guess would be the fuse aswell, it's a simple circuit that allows your subie to be towed with the back wheels on the ground, if power is getting from one side of this circuit to the other, you will get no power to the rear. follow the wires back as far as you can to make sure you don't have a short. beyond that, I haven't a clue! Sorry!

Interesting about that fuse, does it work on WRXs too?

I checked the fuse or where I could put a fuse to make it FWD and there's all this crud. At first I thought it looked like someone put clay in there or something but I think it's that strange build up I often see on some faulty electrical circuits. I'm going to clean it out and see how it works.
