um yeah it was in the street right out side the house... so here's how it goes, and i kind of think that subaru really sucked at this design because it was bad. all they did was reached under the bumper disconected the horns,so the allarm wouldnt make any noise...... bashed the window. by now the lights are falshing and alarm is suposed to work but horns disconected, pop the hood and dissable the battery so the lights stop flashing. after that took all that they needed. and went away. herd nothing..... and everything was stock.

Thats the very reason I moved out of the cities. Too many punks who think they are soo slick, and the neighbors who dont give a crap. Sorry for your loss. I'm sure someone will be happy to take you as a passenger for this weekends event.

at least they didnt take any of the good stuff. Example::intercooler/BOV/steering wheel/shifter/stuff that makes the car go.

An Aftermarket security system should take care of a repeat. Or do what my boss does, and hook up a webcam and aim it out the window at your vehicle. Get a $50 external harddrive, and set it up so it records at night for 2-3 nights in a row. You can delete those days when nothing happens and repeat. He likes this system because he can log online and check how his DB7 is doing in Orlando while here in MN. I believe he said the entire set up cost around $100.

Sorry, you expect that kinda crap not to happen to good people. They musta had a big vehicle to haul a hood off.

This SUCKS!!!! I cant belive that people do this. If some one did that to my car.... its un imagineable how angry you must be. I hope that the police find who ever did this. All for stock parts too.

on teh plus side atleast its still driveable, they didnt take the TMIC or intake or anything. man this sucks. also sucks that its right before the cruise. If you still wanna go I am sure you can ride along. you can ride w/ me if you want, if you dont mind a slow car.

    ^ MAFs are expensive!

perhaps you should park the car in your front yard, maybe a foot or two from the front door. it may prevent future occurances. then put up some NRA signs all around it.

    Horrible..

Dude..That's ****ing ridiculous..TOTALLY unacceptable! I caught the punks that tried to vandalize my property..They probably took the stuff they did because if they ever did get caught they wouldn't be charged with a felony due to it being under $1,000 in damage/theft. Thank GOD they didn't take more..

WMC = World Motorcars Corp. It's a hack-shop down in the butthole of south St. Paul that takes salvaged cars, uses a cannon to fire body parts at them, and then takes a blender to the programming on the ECU and tries to sell it for thousands of dollars to unsuspecting foriegners that don't know what a chop shop is. I find it funny that you car gets stripped, and now that white wrx from WMC is on Cars.com.

Where do you live in Minneapolis? North/South side? Neighborhood? (Sorry, just curious since I'm on the North side near the Brooklyn Center border).

Makes me worried about my car, but I always park it in the garage and never let it sit in the driveway or on the street because I'm a little paranoid. I feel ya though and hopefully these punks will get what they deserved.

That sucks. I guess WRX's are getting to have enough numbers used now that their parts are becoming valuable to steal. For sure going to get an alarm soon I think.

I have no passengers either if you need a ride. I am sure there are a lot of people here that would give you a ride.

LOL.... WMC was the first thing that popped into my head too. To be fair though I have not heard anything about stolen parts yet with him.

An auxiliary horn towards the back of the engine compartment hooked into the alarm system does wonders. It's even better if you can bury it under a lot of stuff to make it harder to see and get to.

    yes... I hate low lifes....

I joy rode a car in my youth... I felt so guilty that we made sure he got it back and we smashed the smallest window on the car so it looked broken into.. seeing as he left a set of keys in the glovebox (no excuse), then I got my own car and someone broke into it.. I felt so violated that I never stole / broke into a car again... my buddies did and got caught... so yeah I feel ya pain man...this sucks...

What neighborhood do you live in?

This is what happens when used WRX's go for cheap. Idiots buy them, steal the aprts they need to make it complete and ride around in them.

I am always slightly suspicious of people I see driving WRXs that look poeved together that I havent seen before, too many stolen parts out there, they have to be ending up on somebodys wrx.

I'm in Duluth and my Impreza has a nice alarm, had the Legacy for about a week before I ordered an alarm for it too. I really doesn't matter what neighborhood you are in, if they drive through and see your car or follow you home once that's all it takes. Yea, the alarm horn is buried, and the hella's are also wired in =p

my buddy had an alarm on the RX7 I bought from him.. had like a tweeter bird type siren mounted near the drivers ear... so if they got into the car it would almost bleed their eardrums.. believe me I got done a few times playing with it... it was like 130DB or something

Man, sorry to hear about this! But you got lucky...my Impreza was stolen from my driveway back in Cali about 2 years ago. Not sure if anyone's seen my car up close, but they broke in through the trunk, so the keyhole is all jacked up, I'm missing my door speakers, they ripped out the back seat, and ripped up the front seats pretty bad too. Lucky for me, I found my car a few blocks away parked in front of some random house.

    *******s...

Bummer. Welcome to my world of early January 2006.

My car was in the shop for 3 weeks and it took the better part of 2 months to get compensated for all my stuff that got ganked. State Farm did pony up for all my aftermarket stuff and I didn't have any extra special coverage or anything. Just provided receipts and I got paid out--for more than I would have been able to sell them for used, come to think of it.

It's a bad feeling having your car get messed with like that. It doesn't sound like you lost nearly as much as me but it doesn't really matter, it's the act itself that's the worst.

Hopefully by mid Saturday afternoon my car will be essentially back to stock, which ought to make the process of getting rid of it infinitely easier. Then I'll get something boring that the WRX thieving bastards out there aren't interested in.
