So, I was in a car wash thee other day, and this guy (who drives a ford probe) was talking crap subaru. I was like, "what is your problem." Anyways, the only thing he said that struck me was that, "the only reason why there are so many subaru cars in MN is because of the snow. Now, I ask everyone is this the reason why all you guys on MNsubaru got a subaru?
i got mine when I lived in chicago. it doesnt snow as much there. really i got it because its faster than a honda, looks better and is stolen less. and, its faster and looks better. lol
Plus there are only 500 of my car in the WORLD. That sold me over the 08' WRX that I almost bought. Leather seats and a more subtle look was also the deal breaker.
I rode (correct word?) in an old legacy, then it was a 1 g outback to kndergardern. And if I weren't to drive I would be riding in my dads 09 outback. My dad sold his soul to subaru a long time ago (18 years I think) so I have never ridden in anything else but a subaru. **** is in my mof'in blood man Subaru for life
People who buy AWD for the snow are ******s. I buy it for wet course traction, frozen lakes, and the ablity to mash the pedal on corner exits and live.
It was cheap, and I figured it would be faster then my sentra. The guy sounds like a d-bag....and he drives a ****ing probe.
I have had a few. Liked the awd, and now I really like the space and boosties of my wrx wagon. Also, gas mileage is great, and the wagons arent a car that everyone modifies. Stands out in a crowd, even with other subies around. EDIT* hate my insurace rates. I'm getting a new legacy 2.5i next, the wrx is rediculous to ensure. I have no accidents and no tickets. ghey.
HAHA! I found that amazingly funny. I got one for the AWD advantage, mainly for ice not so much snow. But also since Subarus are incredibly easy to work on and maintain, while still being super reliable/dependable (150k miles = brand new, Mine is still running awesome at 192k and having seen boost a couple times.).
I first got into my wrx because I wanted a turbo, 4/awd car. And games like gran turismo and tokyo extreme, etc.
LOL! Every time I was in the car wash everyone but the people working at the car wash loved it. I was there 3 times a week and they thought it stunk.
I didn't, just that statement got me thinking because I always briven FR cars but when I bought my impreza. I was buying it for the snow. But now I have grown to love my impreza.

Really? I got an 05 sti. 8 tickets, insurance dont know. but i'm 20 and still only pay 150 a month...? and i got my subie by the way for the speed lol. and the looks and the sound. the guys in the probe was apparently jealous.
I've always liked the look of the 2.5rs. As an added benefit awd is way more funner than fwd in the snow. To be honest I sort of prefer rwd.

I got it because you could attach a cable to your PC and mod it. That was the coolest feature of all. And the awd and the turbo and the four doors.
I got mine as a high school grad gift in California. I didn't know what it was capable of until I brought it here, and now I'm in love
