Talk about your other crapboxes, or crapboxes you hope to purchase soon, or eventually. Me: I'm not shopping yet, as I'm broke as F, but soon enough I'll start saving for it.... 1989-1996-ish lotus esprit s4s, I WANT the 4 cylinder, the v8s are cool but the transmissions seem to be quite weak, and not manufactured anymore....I would want this exact car but in british racing green. Anyone else? Jason? 370Z porn?
my new ride.. wish it was a wrx but ill have my name on the list when the new style is introduced.. PRE ORDER here i come!!!!
I've always wanted a 70 Hemi Cuda...unfortunately i don't have the cash for a "garage queen". Hence the reason that i sold my 1964 Pontiac Bonneville 4 dr. hardtop. It had a 389 and the driveby style windows without the b-pillar, hence the "hardtop" statement instead of "sedan". Looked just like this one, but was a 4 dr. Same color and was in just as good of shape! And Erik, i would love to have that exact same Lotus...sooooo beautiful!
Did you decide that the 308 would be too expensive to maintain? I'm actually planning on selling my Legacy 3.0r and getting a Civic. Maybe. Otherwise, I've got the 04 Mazdaspeed Miata. Turbocharger + Miata = AWDImprezaL, I've always liked the Esprit. I like the early ones better though. For some reason I really like the angular boxy sharp-edged styling. I'd also love any of the Bertone concept cars of the late 60s-early 80s. Those will remain dream cars unless I win a major lottery.
Esprit is harass but I still would like to run undercover a bit and get the lotus omega. FAMILY SEDAN!
Someday I need to own a 77-78 transam.... But honestly, all my dreams of late revolve around Fab tools and a more serious Offroad rig.
The 2000 Audi A4 I just picked up for cheap. Might turn it into the winter beater if I can't trade it off for a bike.
67-69 Cougar is one car I've always wanted or Mid 60's Lemans/GTO with the stacked headlights Vanishing Point Challenger
yep, red interior and he swapped in a 351. I've always been looking for an older Lotus, ie a Cortina, Elan, Elite, or specifically a Europa. I have found a few that I've tried to pursue, but the sellers always fall off the face of the earth. Needless to say, Lotus people are odd.
this is true as well. but seriously, two different sellers in two different states just halted all communication randomly. I guess they decided to keep the Europas after all.
We picked up this 07 Saab 9-3 Aero with about 40k miles on it last spring from Morries. 2.8L V6 with a TD-04. It's nothing too special, but a nice daily. We've been very happy with it so far.
2 years ago i owned a 78' Firebird and wasn't in the market...but i was just a rust free shell and I sold it in favor of extra house buying money.
Dont crash it! Parts are almost impossible to find now. Insurance would total it if it needed a hood and bumper cover.
Is GM not still making parts for them? I wasn't too happy about the bankruptcy, but we figured it was likely when we purchased. Morrie's did cover an issue with the ignition under warranty a few weeks ago, at least.
According to the caddy/saab parts manager they are totalling year old cars if they cant find parts for them. As far as I know they arent making parts for them.
I thought Top Gear UK mentioned that a new company was started up make Saab parts, granted they didn't mention a name. And if those parts would be available to US is another question. But I could believe the totaling of the car, I believe there is a turn around period to when they want to have a car finished. When my CSVT was rear ended I had a 3in crack on the rear bumper. The Insurance company brought up totaling it out as they were having a tough time finding a bumper cover. Nothing else was wrong with the car at all. Granted the CSVT is worth far less then a 1yr old Saab.
They take into effect rental coverage. It was $1500 for a month of rental when I got hit in the tribeca.
Or you could just come to my work, I could call you hundreds of different names, kick you in the nuts, and piss in your mouth, all of which you would get from test driving a 350, but I'm probably more gentile. Oh, and I'm definatly less plasticky inside.
Ah, I was doing some research after you mentioned it and pre-2010 parts are still being made (might be very limited quantity or selection though) and GM's covering warranty on pre-2010. That would suck to have a 1 year old car that you couldn't get any parts for ugh.
I am really at the point in my existence where I want a fun car that costs me nothing to purchase and maintain. I can likely talk them down to a number that starts with 16, put a few grand down and have a car payment in the low 200's. It is perfect for ME since I want a cheap summer car that is fun to drive. You can name call all you like, really. With as often as I drive for pleasure these days, I ccannot justify a 400+ per month car payment + insurance for a vehicle that will simply sit in the garage for 6 months out of the year and only gets driven on weekends. So you all can line up and wet your whistles in anticipation of all the ass I have for you to eat. Because in the end, its my car and my money and my ass you'll be eating. What I do with those things isn't up to a community vote. I don't see either of you spitting down Shibbsy's butthole for buying that camaro, and I find those things to be utterly hideous and poorly made.
Lets put it this way. If you both so desperately want me to get a 370z roadster, you can top up the remainder. I'll pay for a loan for 12,900, and put down 4000, and you guys can cover the remaining 25,000 to 28,000 required for the 370z. I will be at Wayzata Nissan today around noon till about 1pm. If you show up with the cash, I will order up a 370z roadster.
so along with everyones fav non subaru, whats everyones favorite stock drivers seat in a non subaru? Im gonna have to go with my tsx seats. More comfortable and alot more lateral support than my wrx seats. I was dissapointed with the new sti seats and hopefully they put the brz seats in the new wrx/sti's
