But this thing sounds sick. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Whippled-2007-Shelby-GT500_159360.htm Supercharger Whine = Turbo spool.
Dang that thing is a beast, but I prefer the sound of a turbo spooling up over the supercharger whine.
supercharger > turbo....no lag turbo > supercharger...better mileage if you aren't on it i bet that thing has insane amount of torque
Why choose when you can have both. http://www.musclemustangfastfords.c..._compound_boost_2003_mustang_cobra/index.html
i agree...when i first heard it off the close up...it kinda made me laugh to be honest cause i thought someone was making there own noise for it..haha
yeah, i agree...it sounds pretty stupid. In fact, i had to hear that on a daily basis I'd shoot myself. I'm not against a supercharger by any means, just that particular sound.
I like it but i am a big fan of american cars with super chargers There is still a part of me that likes american muscle
Its okay! I'm sour because nobody makes a blower for olds motors, unless you get a custom intake manifold made...oh well, turbos are cooler
American muscle = sweet American blown muscle = really sweet American turbocharged muscle = t3h shiznit
im not a FI wiz....but how does that help? the way i understand it wont add any pressure (or much) because the supercharger will only pull in so much air....right? sounds like overkill to me.
Adding pressure does not give you power. Moving air does. Think of it this way. The turbo is compressing air. Witch is now feeding compressed air into the blower. The blower compresses it more. Now you just moved way more air then the supercharger just sucking in air to compress it.
Sounds like an Air-raid siren. Superchargers work well for low boost situations. However, they cannot compare to the efficiency of a turbocharger when it comes to higher pressure ratios. Sure you have some lag, but lag is a relative term. If you set up the car correctly, it doesn't matter. I'd rather put on a 45R than mess around with some goofy twin charged system on a V8. A properly matched turbo for the application will pwn it. Fitting it in a tight crappy engine bay like that would be tricky though.
