Dang that thing is a beast, but I prefer the sound of a turbo spooling up over the supercharger whine.

yeah, i agree...it sounds pretty stupid. In fact, i had to hear that on a daily basis I'd shoot myself. I'm not against a supercharger by any means, just that particular sound.

Its okay! I'm sour because nobody makes a blower for olds motors, unless you get a custom intake manifold made...oh well, turbos are cooler

Adding pressure does not give you power. Moving air does. Think of it this way. The turbo is compressing air. Witch is now feeding compressed air into the blower. The blower compresses it more. Now you just moved way more air then the supercharger just sucking in air to compress it.

    Sounds like an Air-raid siren.

Superchargers work well for low boost situations. However, they cannot compare to the efficiency of a turbocharger when it comes to higher pressure ratios. Sure you have some lag, but lag is a relative term. If you set up the car correctly, it doesn't matter. I'd rather put on a 45R than mess around with some goofy twin charged system on a V8. A properly matched turbo for the application will pwn it. Fitting it in a tight crappy engine bay like that would be tricky though.
