so how long before you need the other auto tranny in my garage  hopefully next time it breaks you go with the manual conversion:biggrin:
^ yeah about that. having the 4eat with this setup kinda blows. it tries to downshift too often and its hard to quite it down when po-po are near by.
i saw a wagon that was a rollover at a local towing place and i was tempted since it was a manual, but i decided i want my garage over the winter but i was thinking of you, saying man that would be a good parts car for martin, lol. not sure where it went now though, haven't seen it for a couple weeks.
so um... what you got in there now? vf11 with wrx intercooler? what ems if any? my 2.2 is still F@sTeRer than urs even though you got my STI seats!
I am not sure if you could get by w/o one or not. probably not since WRXs run so much boost. The older ecus (maybe newer ones, I am not sure) have a logic module which allows the ECU to learn (slowly) to adapt to new situations. so the ECU is learning how to handle boost right now. pretty much it is adjusting fuel trims and possibly knocking off some timing if there is det. I tried running a PP6 last time, which is a piggy back unit, and the ECU learned around it and made it completely worthless to me. all in all its just one more reason that 2.2ls are FTW.
lol, i have that extra diff that i keep meaning to get welded up but i don't know if i will get around to it. i have plans for a massive addition of lighting for the ice races though, i will just blind you if you get in front of me
