my new car aka 06 legacy limited gt..decided to not get a evo or sti.. I wanted something with more luxury. It is fully loaded with leather, heated seats and navi etc. I am not a huge fan of the wheels but they have new tires on them so I wont sell them till spring when I put my bbs's on. only mods it came with are tint, wheels, and smoked headlights with clear corners. so far I love it, it has more power than my wrx as it has the turbo 2.5 motor like the sti. My plans are dp and a tune springish and then just enjoy driving it. I will get better pics tomorrow.
^ orly? not sure if I want to just powder coat them or sell them. I hear the stock wheels are really heavy.
LOL! yes remove splash gaurds...needs more mudflaps. as much as i would love bright colored wheels, i dont want a cop magnet.
Its a tiny filter in the banjo bolt that feeds oil from the block to the turbo. If it gets clogged you may run into oiling issues to the turbo.
You've been spotted: http://mnsubaru.com/threads/the-official-spotted-thread.9997/page-321#post-630886
Congrats on the new ride. After messing around with a Legacy here in Roch, they are really nice for a DD.
Because this is what happens to them if they clog. These are the AVCS filters but they are the same as the turbo feed. http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c389/Threshld1/04 Impreza STI/AVCS Filters/
Yep I was working by rosadale this week! I do need more pictures but I have been working till sundown. maybe tomorrow. thanks for the heads up on the filter.
thanks Josh Merry x-mas to you too! now you will always and forever win the high millage bugeye competition..is yours running yet? if not I have a nice wrx wagon forsale
I replaced the hard factory line with a braided SS part and pulled the banjo bolt filter at the same time. Mine was 100% clean as I'm nutso about regular oil changes & quality oil filters, but it's a good idea to remove it. Search on legacygt.com for banjo bolt filter.
Yep! It's running, just need to get some small leaks taken care of and a toooon. It's basically a 2010 STi 5 speed with 2.0 heads! And 204,000 miles
thats awesome josh! gl with the rest of the build I will send good vibes cause all 204,00 miles needs it.
