I really dont want to get rid of it, but the fact that a good deal on a good replacement is out there + my finacee needs me to have a driveable car ASAP are weighing on me.

there is some room for negotiation here, I have an extra seat, snow tires etc.

one person has already talked to me about taking their existing 2.5RS, swapping over the engine + clutch from this one and putting their RS running gear in the yellow car and reselling it that way. Seems like a good idea if you don't want the yellow car or have an RS you've already pout some money into.

I just thought i'd do this for all the people who have told me: "Man! I was THIS CLOSE to buying your car" as there is a rare and odd confluence of factors going on now that are causing me to consider getting rid of it. That will change sooner rather than later, so i'm taking my shot. If it doesnt sell, I'm just going to finish the tranny the way i want it, weld a cage in there and race it for the next however many years, but I'd like to give it a shot if anyone seriously wants it.

believe me, it wont kill me not to sell it either, I love the damn thing.

Why don't you just put some '04+ WRX gears in it? They are RA width, btw.

If you don't fully trust them, get them shot-peened and cryo treated before the install.

its not the WRX gears that bug me, its whether or not they'll fit in the case. The jury is still out on that one.

I don't mind rebuilding the tranny, but just seeing what's out there. I might have a chance to get deals on two really interesting cars so i'm seeing what I can do.

and shane, i'd like straight cut gears and RA full transmissions, but unfortunately i could never get more than $3k out of my future wife for such a thing.

again, not likely that i'll sell it, just considering it this time since there are 2 cars i'd like sitting out there at steal prices.

I'm putting a WRX gearbox in there by this weekend, so if noboy is interested by then, its all mine again.

And yes christian, i'll trade it for your STi... not your RS (even though it is the fastest RS in MN)

alas, it was never to be

If that sold (it did) i was also thinking of picking up a GD wagon and supercharging my matrix.

the fiancee did not like this idea, was strongly against owning too many fast/tempermental cars, we need to have one 100% stock one. since the TME is gone forever and I have a suitable tranny going in the WRX (a usdm WRX one, not an RA since the damn gearsets wont be here for 2 more months)... It would probably take a lot to get the yellow wrx away from me now

since i cant SC the matrix + get a GDwagon or get the TME i'm keeping the GC.

ah well, i had to give it a shot. that TME is just too cool and too rare.

I think it has to do more with the driver than the car in this case. ;)
