Not subaru but need help

So any mechanics here wanna help me out?

I have a 91 Toyota MR2 turbo w/ a blow head gasket.

I hate work on my own cars and want this thing up and running.

PM with what it would cost to have you fix it. I know there are some good mechanics here.

Not that this is in any way helpful, but I hear those are ridiculously hard to work on....

 

goodluck. I had a buddy who had 2 of them. Well lets just say he gave up. I'm not saying give up though because they are bad ass cars. Becareful with removing the intercooler or it will bend.

thats because you have to basically tear the entire damn set up down to do it.

Most deffinatly not taking it to a dealership. I can't afford that. The engine bay is HELL.

Their rates are fair, and they do very good work.

5sfe block, crank, rods
1st gear from ST168
2nd gear from ST185
3-5th gear from SW21

 

Luke you have the wrx, why not just start breaking it down yourself once it gets warm out? Hell i'll lend you erin's garage spot to help out. It could be a fun little project

I think those newer style mr2s are easier to work on than the old boxy ones, the boxy ones are hell.

theres enough room for the camry v6 in the one you have.

pull the engine, its likely the easiest way because the engine is slanted.

 

Yeah, I always did, too. Love that body style, as well.

 

i charge 500 but no guarantees something wont leak or break

I think most cars are going to be unreliable when you throw almost twice stock boost at them with no supporting mods.:coolugh:

Secondly most MR2s are unreliable. Mine i blew up.
