Alright, I got a bit of bad news today. THE GM BCS IS DISCONTINUED. Unfortunately, anyone who wants one now MUST post NOW. There are about 10 left in the nation, and I will give ONE WEEK to recieve a PM and paypal to chevman3171 at hotmail for $48 (to cover shipping AND PAYPAL FEES to me) to get a BCS. After this, one would either need to tear one off a Cyclone or Typhoon (yea right) to get one. Also note: This DOES include the wiring harness with the BCS. Also also note: Cash prices have unfortunately gone up to 45 now, what with the shipping to me. Also also also note: If you want it shipped, please paypal me (agian, include screen name and address) a total of $53.
Best $60 I have ever spent!!!! Not to hijack but Prodrive more than likely still makes there 3 port and I'm not sure which one Greg (M155L3R) just put on but it's another 3 port. So if you don't get one of these there is still hope. Side note I own a GMBCS and it will be coming with me if I sell the WRX for another Subaru
Probably because the cars they were originally made for have been discontinued for 15 years. I'm surprised they've lasted this long! There are several comparable aftermarket options once the supply dries up. thanks for the heads up Eli
gmbcs is the same as these only cheaper...right? http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merc...de=355&Product_Code=HOABCS&Category_Code=7000 http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merc...5&Product_Code=ASM-INT-720&Category_Code=7000
Grainger also makes a solenoid that can be used for this purpose and is only like $15. No idea what the part number is, but the hardware when configured right is almost exactly the same. I haven't used one of these, and the knowledge is all secondhand from NASIOC, but just FYI...
It's a little bit more spendy, but a very good solenoid. It is what AEM, Hondata, and a few others use. If you look around you can usually find them for about $50. Plus, they use 1/8 NPT ports so you can put whatever type of fittings on it you want. I use it with good results. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Boos...m14QQhashZitem330275563970QQitemZ330275563970
Perrin doesn't actually make that BCS either. They just slap their name on it and resell it for about twice the price, just like AEM and Hondata does with the MAC solenoid.
Update: There were in fact more than 10 left. I have 7 more that aren't spoken for, so if anyone wants them feel free to paypal up. ALSO: Please include your screenname on the paypal note.
LOL at Eli hoarding the last GM BCS's. Many a Subaru guys across the nation will want to know where you live. Hmmmmmmmmmm........:raise:
