the thing finally runs... I still don't believe it is yours. I think you just took a pic of someone elses car.
Bingo!!! Took me like 5 hours, but I did it! not really. But thanks for the compliments on the rims, I didn't expect them to look so well when I first bought them. Funny thing is that they're my winter rim/tire combo, my stock 6-spokes are my summer rims

too bad to see you did beat me to it (you had a long time ahead of me tho, lol) glad to see you FINALLY made some headway
Thanks guys, I've been out tuning it a bit lately and have run into a few problems. I'm getting misfires under boost. But it seems like I may have solved that with new plugs. But other than that the brakes rock, the suspension rocks, and overall, you can't beat the turbo spoolin' sound
Kind of odd setup with the heads, why not just stock sti..... anyways looks very nice! lets see some under hood shots! I love the color and I love the rims.
It was an RS from the start and I didn't want to mess with the wiring, the RS heads flow better anyways. As for the jeep question, the suby is just more fun.
Very nice set up... I dont know you but right away i saw you had the 06+ wheels. Very hot!!!! Very nice set up. Hope all goes well with her!!!
How rich are you running under boost? Anything under about 10.2:1 I get over-rich misfires. Also, what plug gap are you using? I hope not the factory .038-.043". I'm running one step colder V-powers BKR7E11, at .028" gap and have been fine @ 23psi. When I crank it a bit more at spoolup, I might even go to a set of 8's.
You pretty much hit it on the head. I'm running the exact same plugs with the exact same gap, but it was running so rich that it was misfiring. I also noticed one thing too. Ray (sogonerg) can attest to this, the coil pack was grounding out on a rubber vacuum line :eek3:. I think it was dirty enough that the electricity could run though it. Crazy. So I moved that, pulled some fuel, and now it seems to be running like a champ. Hooray!
Looks awesome Kelly! can't wait to see it in person again (if I even recognize it.....it's been awhile ). what wheels are those....I was thinking LGT, but I thought those were 5-spokes...... :???:
They're 06/07 WRX rims. I love them because they were cheap (I think I paid 600 for them with brand new wintersport M3's) and they clear the 4/2 pots Thanks for the compliments, I'm about to head out and go tune a bit more, I'm just trying to get it safe and consistent. It's been a pain lately though
Over-rich misfiring is very very hard on the coil pack, so I'd keep an extra one around for good measure. If it was misfiring when Ray saw the arcing, its because that energy has to go somewhere. When I first started this motor, I forgot one of the plug wires off the plug itself, and it was arcing around the boot on the coilpack to the bolt
No, it only misfired under boost. I understand the whole energy has to go somewhere thing which is why it made complete sense to me. I'm about to head out and mess around with it a little more on the way to Jimmy Johns I'll let you know how it goes.
Where do I get a "Fobia Turbo Kit?" I need your wholesale pricing list, wait til Full Race hear about this! hahaha...Full Race will be Full of S**T when they see the Fobia Kit!
