Well, I have good news and I have bad news. The bad news is that I am no longer with the Bloomington Police Department. I was having some problems catching on to some of the aspects of the job and it was mutually decided that I would step down.

Now, for the good news. I'll be back at Brooklyn Park Subaru for the forseeable future while I figure out what's ahead. So, I'll be making sure the discounts get observed there and I'll be checking my PM's again for part questions and requests.

I thought you were a firefighter? And glad you're back with us and out of that stinkhole. Most jobs require you to fit in with the rest of the team. (I see a Nathan or Ray response really soon. Haha!)

I had an old coworker that was on the force for about two weeks. He said he hated it, wanted to beat the crap out of everyone there, lol. He gets annoyed by stuck up pricks :)

I've always been curious about law enforcement. It seems like a noble job. However, I've seen too many officers who are full of themselves(there's a lot of nice ones too). In any job, especially one like law enforcement, it's critical to be around people who you care about and trust...like your local MNSubaru community. :D

It seems to be a niche job. You either love it or hate it. (Or rather, it works for you or it doesn't.) I know a couple guys who've tried their hands at the cop thing and it didn't work out.

Glad to hear you had a fall back option. :)

Well to work as a cop in Watts would probably require somebody to be kind of crazy, lol. That's a pretty rough town.

Yeah, he says he has to pull his gun out EVERY DAY. I think the average is like once in a career.

For the record, I was actually dispatching...In my opinion, a harder job in some ways than being an officer. Instead of only having to keep track of 1 or 2 officers, we had to know where all of them were in addition to running checks, taking phone calls and generally doing everything and anything. I'm actually considering going back to school to become an officer, as I think it may lie more in line with my talents than dispatching. Still, it was kind of fun being the guy who told the officers where to go and what to do when they got there ;)

And yes, it is nice to be back even if the pay isn't nearly as good :)

Sorry to hear it didn't work out but you never know until you try it out.

On the bright side, you'll have more time to come out and play with us! Let's see, January Ice Race, Sno*Drift Rally, Spring road rallies, maybe Arrowhead road rallies, Shooting Star, Ojibwe Forest Rally. So many rallies, so little time

Any good deals on the wagon rear hatch/trunk net thing? Or even that rubber matt for back there. Throw me a pm.

Oh, and we're hiring right now and we're in Brooklyn Center. It's a machine shop and I think we're looking for an inspector and a shipping clerk. Don't know if that's very much in line with what your're looking for but I figured I'd throw that out there.
