I am not sure if the OBXs are equal length or not. if they are then they will remove some of your rumble, but give you a couple extra HP (like 5 or so). Unequal length headers add alot to the subaru sound imo. if both brands are unequal length (borla is for sure) then it doesnt really matter which one you get.
Borla cause OBX products are crap. Bought a header from them a year ago, damn bolts didnt line up, ports were bad. Just pita to work with.
i've heard that obx headers tend NOT to crack unlike the borla headers for the non turbo subaru's. btw, i'm running on obx unequal length for about a year w/o problems. choung
some got it good, some got it bad, but for the price, the OBX is a better deal. it is the exact replica of the borla and is stainless steel which the borla isnt.
OBX != Borla They are intended to be equal length, the Borla is not. FWIW, I had (and still have) issues with lining up the mounting holes. I stripped a stud (only 2 threads in!) thinking it was lined up, guess not! I think it comes down to quality control...I think they were wrarped slightly while welding so you have to muscle the ports apart to line up.
200 for new obx unequal lengths compare to 350+ for borla new. you choose. i've driven a year and had NO problems with them. choung
Borla replica from 3bay.... around 200 shipped and the welds hold up a crapload better than the real borlas plus they sound sexy. Sure you get extra horsepower from obx or other equal length headers but is the extra hp or two worth sounding like a typical ricer? you should hear my car with only a borla replica and a turboxs rfl axleback.... mmmmmmmmmmmmm
