I didn't wanna dirty up some one else's Build Thread [thread=352257]Party Bus Time!!!![/thread]. So I'm starting an off topic thread for this. Hey Ja Rule! I don't need a new motor i check my oil.
Well when you blow that NA block up your gonna need something to fill that hole. I know we all can't be cool like you Brian with your faux carbon dash, gauges that don't display actual readings, leather seats, gutted interior (which who has any idea why you did that in the first place), but at least you had someone else put your turbo on and do all the work. A+
A+ on buying a car with a turbo from someone else. Then blowing up the motor a month later!
Thumbs up for WARRANTY and new short blocks! So what if it has a turbo the only thing I haven't actually install or co install is the up pipe (which was left on) and the tune.
OOOOOOO Hand tool Mods! Those are tricky! Try welding/fabricating a Down Pipe for a turbo that has never been in a 2.5rs.
Like you did that!! And I'm sure someone else has the same kit you do, but I doubt theirs is going to blow up on the Duluth trip.
Ask any one at morries. Erik or Brian they say me every day working on it. I have oil in my motor chet, dont worry i wont blow up. I will only be blowing by you.
Oh wait thats right. You can't ask anyone at Morries... cause you made an ass of your self the first time there...
Too much boost = bye bye motor! And really this was all in fun but really I'm tired of the "check your oil" crap it's old get a new phrase. S*** happens more people than you think have blown a motor on the forum. And truth be told I had a fairly large oil leak that I could not tell I had and didn't check my oil for about a month. In that period I lost 2 1/2 quarts which in my eyes isn't normal and therefore spun a rod bearing. So when you hear that popping noise don't be alarmed its just you pulling your head out of your ass! P.S. don't even get me started on the poor service I got from the service writer, I wont mention names it's not needed in this debate plus everything has been taken care of.
:munching::cheers2: Anyone else wanna watch this with me? I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. Continue. Please.
does this mean our bowling team is falling apart... ha ha ha I dont know about oil Chet, but check that Brian has some KY for the make up love before the next bowling night.... ha ha ha
Yeah, they're friends. They'll be buying each other beers within a week. Okay, Chet....we'll try to refrain from oil comments. And Brian, nobody will laugh at you as you turn up the boost. and both of you better bring plenty of party money and your party attitudes next week. No squabbling..... :wiggle::cheers2::woot:
i know for a fact when brian gets tuned for 10 psi, stage 2 wrxs are going down, hell they go down at the hands of me, at least COBB tuned stage 2s do. edit: pre 2006
Last time I asked him he was at 9 psi and I walked him by 2 cars (Brian your a liar if you say I didn't!) with my 15.5-16 psi setup (thank you Bullwinkle).
Yeah, there's no doubt Brians car is quick, and I understand it's going to be a bit quicker by the Duluth trip? But Chet's car pulls very hard for a stage 2, the torque is great. Chet hands down spanked my cobb stage 2 ots crap/map.
i heard you dont race from a dig chet. poooosay, if you raced brian from a dig even before, he would have put an instant 5 cars on you.
weak. that's like the honda fanbois bragging about their hp/liter. and btw, I have less than $1k in engine mods.
yeah....I have no leaks and still check my oil 2-3 times per week. but then again it's still my daily driver and I admit to beating it quiet hard. Rule of thumb for me....1:1 ratio- I beat it, I maintain it.
next time a person asks such a question our response should be yes, and when you go to the dealer please tell the warranty department people on the internet said so...
I can't wait for the first person to try that. The sad look on their face will be priceless, as the price quote to fix whatever it is they busted is handed to them. The warranty department on here sometimes doesn't get the full story of why something happened the way it did...and therefore cannot tell someone it will or will not be warranty. I can't even tell someone that until the car gets torn apart, and parts inspected. No, this post isn't a shot towards anyone...but seeing as the internet is for serious business only...I can't let your post be the total truth! LOL
I check every or every other time I fill up with gas, lately every 2 weeks or so. Has anyone else noticed that you have to wait a LONG time after running to get the oil level where it actually is on the dipstick? (Like I said, after filling with gas)
Who pissed in his Wheaties? lol Oh yeah, probably Nathan. Sounds like an Aussie joke, right? :lollollollol:
Where ever there are people being stupid, Readymix will always be close by to lay down the smack. Also, check your oil. P.S....when you claim something is 'no longer funny' I'm also there to dig it back up, and beat it to death. And then sit back in amusement of you being butthurt about it. Oh, and check your oil.
