anyone ever been rear ended, then rear ended the person in front of them? well i did, and my insurance company told me the other driver's insurance company suggested an aftermarket hood instead of oem. i opted for the oem of course, plus i was told it's illegal to put an aftermarket hood on up here in mn. or so i was told by the shop. Any one run across this issue before with being offered an aftermarket replacement?
It's just the insurance company trying to save a buck. I believe insurance is required to return your car to OEM spec. May want to check your contract.
They'll cut corners where they can. By taking recorded phone calls to asking you if you'd take less if they offer other things. Take the OEM!
yea thats what i went with. no need for an aftermarket hood when the oem ones are pretty light already.
