i believe the answer is yes, i think they start black and get the thermal coating after...

yes they do!

they actually start out polished stainless steel, then you can either get black or blue thermal coating if you wish.

definitely not free but we can do a discounted install price. Updated first post with price.

 

Hey do you guys have any plans on making downpipes in the near future? If you guys came up with a downpipe i would jump all over it, especially if the quality was as good ast the uppipe. Im a big supporter of local and small business so id much rather get one form you guys then order one online.

 

yep. once we get done with our downpipes for the bmw we will be looking at the subaru downpipe to see how we can improve it.

 

Put me in line for a DP, too. I REALLY like my UP, even though it technically wasn't needed.

 

Yo justin how quickly can i get one? I just got headers and all i need is an uppipe to finish it.

fedex says the box with the new batch of up pipes is sitting at the shop right now!! i'll be down at the shop in a few hours so whenever you can get over.

we should have just got the dump tubes in for ewg up pipes so those shall be ready to go here shortly too

nice! amanda meyer is about the only person i hung out with.

definitely downpipe. you are still going to pick up some gains by getting an aftermarket up pipe because even though the stock up pipe doesnt have it a cat it is very small in diameter and there are some wicked steps on the inside.

I have lived south of town for about 10 years now but rarely go into town. I went to several Ozfest when they stopped by and can hear the concerts when the wind is right. Would love to a turbo back replacement on the Subie and your stuff is on my wish list. <trying to stay on topic> I like to support local vendors and it's easy when their stuff is top notch.

No dude. THe up-pipe. I have to get everything ready for a FP GREEN

 

eventually we'll have the full exhaust available...but for right now you'll just have to do with the up pipe, x pipe, and pnp exhaust manifold

 

Yeah pretty much I have set my eyes on your PnP Exhaust Manifold and Up-pipe. But I haven't seen your Exhaust being tested or anything yet. But may look forward to it. I have a question though. You hi-flow crosspipe? Comes with the exhaust manifold or not? If not any packages for the 06 STi? Because you only have it for 02-05 Models.

 

You can use my car for the test subject. I get a free exhaust and you pay me for my review, right?

 

just do a seach on nasioc for "grimmspeed"...you will find tons and tons of customers dynos with our stuff from this past year.

this one for example cracks me up because of its a stereotypical nasioc thread... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1381002. you're not going to gain 65wtq with our stuff like this guy did, he did a dtec and better tune at the same time but you get the drift that it isnt snake oil

yep, the hiflow crosspipes replaces the weaksauce oem crosspipe. the 06 sti uses the same exhaust mani and xpipe as the 02-05 models.
