So I finally got my car in to the alignment shop after putting new struts in. So i drop it off and come to find that i had a wicked bad outer tie-rod end. LAME!!! So i went ahead and had them fix it. $164 to fix the tie-rod and a four wheel alignment... not bad, but i wasnt expecting that at all. Just thought i would vent to some peeps that know what a tie-rod is. LOL

What exactly was wrong with the tie rod? Bent?

My tie rods look fine... at least they did back before the snow fell.

I had it done at westgate service center. They give the Discount tire guys in rochester a pretty good deal for an alignment. $35 for the 4 wheel. As for the tie rod. there wasnt much left of it. It was all worn and loose and nasty lookin, Kinda like etchys bunghole... LOL

Outer tie rods are SUPER easy to do if you have the right tools.

Yes but you would still need to do an alignment to he front. So 164 is good enough.
