    NOS I know is Nitrous Oxide Systems. Are all NO systems now known as NOS? Sounds like fallout from F and F.

    Good list!!

    Corrections:
    HT - Heel / Toe ("Heal" isn't part of your foot unless you injured it)

    Additions:
    NA = Normally(/Naturally) Aspirated (i.e. no turbo)
    PSI = Pounds per Square Inch (boost)

    and... what's that custom-tuning computer or boost-controller thingy I always hear about? I can't even remember the acronym right now, let alone the real name...

    And another important acronym to know:
    VTEC = marketing hype used as a subsitute for superior boxer design =)

    IIRC, the 22b uses a EJ22G motor, which appears to be the EJ22T with DOHC

    anyone know the codes for newer legacies? like my mom's '01 L sedan?

    The 22B motor is closed deck like the EJ22T, but it is a phase two design, meaning it uses an end-thrust bearing, as opposed to the center-thrust, and has the updated oiling system, since there are no oil squirters.

    22B is not an engine code, its the actual name of the car. It's called a WRX/STi 22B. The actual engine code is EJ22G, which is only used in that one specific car. It is a bored out 2.2L EJ20G closed deck motor from the early WRX/Liberty RS with different heads.

    Ahhh, okay, so my '00 2.5RS is infact a GC6 with the EJ25. I knew the engine model but the manufacturer code for my vehicle I was unsure on. Seems that everyone just wants to call them GC8's, even if they're the 2.5RS.

    WRXs are GDB, or GD8 depending on the site or person. WRX stands for World Rally X(Cross), or World Rally X(Cross Country) on some of their early brochures that I have seen.

    So do the new WRXs have the same EJ255 motors like the Forester and Baja?
