I was at the winter event in CF earlier in the year. I'm thinking of heading down for this one as well. Anyone know how my winter tires would hold up on dirt? Guessing they'd grip better than the summers but would they receive excessive wear & tear if it's too warm? Then again, the drive down and back may be harder on them than anything. Forecast is cloudy with 30% chance of rain, highs in the lower 50's. Thoughts?
Winters hold up just fine on the dirt. Most people swap them at the event to avoid abusing them on the highway when it's this warm.
Wish I could go. Have some clean-up to do at our old place. Have fun everyone! Looking forward to the last one in November.
My car will be ready for the November event but anyone willing share their vehicle for this event? I could help with the race fee. Or I could just go down, watch, and do some ride alongs. I don't want to drive my ride more than I need to without a new tune so anybody up for letting me hitch a ride for some gas $ or splitting their car for the day? I live in Hopkins but could meet anywhere on 494 to 52.
