    That "old school" Subaru has a lot more in common with your car than you could ever imagine. Especially with an '04.

    It sounds different, so thought that was EA engine series.

    The older N/A exhaust manifold is slightly different, so you'll have that. They are not as unequal in length between the heads, so it sounds different than a turbo car. A Legacy Sport Sedan of the same vintage will sound just like a newer turbo car.
