I've recently moved to Madison, WI and there's a HUGE subie junkyard out here. mostly 1980's and 1990's. he doesn't have any imprezas

    he does have
    brats
lots of older 2.2, 2.5 blocks
    lots of SOHC parts

i don't drive to MN very often so if you want something shipping will be most likely. If you want a block I'll probably be over once every month or two and could put it in my subie or truck

Welcome to MNSubaru. Is this place called Suby Heaven? I have heard of it before but have never seen it. Do you know what year 2.2l stuff they have there? I am looking for some Phase 1 stuff. thanks for posting this up!

I think they have SVXs there.

is the 22t block the ones that are getting bored out to like 2.9?

i'm pretty sure he doesn't have those, i think they're pretty hard to come by, is that right?

ok folks. stopped by there and talked to Mike.
He's going to give me some prices on the list of parts.

FYI - there are no 22t blocks available. And this guy knows what stuff is worth. :-(

as for 2.5 blocks (DOHC) he said he's got many, but they have issues - i.e. bad head gaskets, spun rods, etc. a shortblock is about $200, a long block is about $300.
headgaskets are pretty easy to do though...

i may be making a trip to MN in April or i could ship parts if you'd like.

i hope to have his prices back early next week

yup. once i hear from them on the prices i'll let you guys know what they want for stuff.

those who asked for 2.5 blocks, are you looking for a block to rebuild or a shortblock to toss heads on and go? not sure he's going to have many great shortblocks

Here's what i got for prices. please note this doesn't include shipping. I usually use FedEx because I get a discount, shipping would be from Madison, WI - zip code 53701. Although it's possible I could bring some parts to the Cities / St.Cloud once in a while (i plan to make a trip once a month or so, but taking my truck will require more $ in fuel then my WRX)

92-94 Legacy corner markers $60.00 pair
90-91 Legacy corner markers 60 pair
92-94 Legacy fender psgr side 150 each
    Phase 1 dohc 2.5 heads 125 each
Loyale gl-10 tan front adjustable headrest 35 each
    97 Legacy 2.5 gt grill 120
    Brat front push bar 175
    Brat front brush guard 135
    81-87 M85 roll bar 150
82-85 Wagon or brat front mud flaps (maybe new) 20 each
2.5 short block with pistons 225

I'm looking for '97-98 DOHC heads, intake, timing covers, etc. Pretty much everything but the shortblock. '96 will not work. I don't want HLA's. I don't care what kind of condition the heads are in as long as they are not warped. Bent valves a plus, since they will get replaced anyways.
