Helped do a Headgasket on a buddy's Cherokee....this is what we found: Solution? I wish I had an 'after' pic, but my camera died.....they looked like new!!
ive had 0 problems with holiday gas, thats about all i put in my car, the other thing that would help is not to get gas when they are filling the bulk tanks, since that stirs everything that is sitting in the bottom of the tank
^^^^ ding ding ding... we have a winner... ha hah a yep people forget the simple things in most of their theories....
Doesnt said gas station along with its competitors add...well additives to there gas blend though... ie techron..blue planet gas..etc... "Blue Planet gas, refined in Pine Bend, MN, by Flint Hill Resources (formerly Koch Petroleum Group; see www.fhrpinebend.com for their groundbreaking environmental reporting, done in collaboration with the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy), cuts tailpipe emissions by 10-20% without sacrificing performance or power. Its sulfur content (which contributes to acid rain) is 70% lower than the current national average and is six years ahead of a proposed national maximum sulfur standa" I know i dont see koch tankers at every gas stations... sorry just playing devils advocate
"there are 3 kinds of lies.....lies, damn lies, and statistics" my High School Statistics teacher anyway, it might be refined at a different place (though I wouldn't be suprised if most other gas is refined there too). I think it's mostly just marketing scams. if you calculate percentages from the right numbers, you can make it say whatever you want. and I think this holiday gas fad is just heresay.
You guys ever think Holiday just sends their own trucks to get the gas...... It's all made at the same place, according to the people I know that used to work there, Holiday does get a different mix than other, but it's not suppose to contain any more additives for say, it's just suppose to be a lower sulfur gasoline, which they get for the same price, cause they pay with "cash". That being said Holiday gas seem to be the most in consistant gas for me, some days it's really great, some days not so much, maybe I just notice it more with holiday, since it is the closest gas station to me, though I try and not get too much gas from them.
What on gods green earth are you doing to that poor piston with a wire wheel!?!?! BP has the best gasoline, hands down. Holiday is next. The rest, well they usually suck.
He's removing the carbon deposits....it actually worked incredibly well! it was alot of work, but the carbon came off, and it didn't even scratch the pistons!
oh yea, used a very soft wire wheel. and he vacuumed out the cylinders before moving the crank, and only worked on the cylinders that where at TDC.
