From an economic standpoint, a 2 door does not make sense. Therefore I cannot blame subaru for not continuing with a coupe model of the same car.
Tell you what though, if that car existed there would be no way a sedan would have made it into my driveway.
to be honest it looks like a 4door with 2 very long doors... and going from a 4door to a 2 door has been done before. it was on a evo in europe. they had to cut the chassis and take a section out of the middle and reweld it back. it would be hard to make sure that your cuts and welds are perfectly balanced and line up exactly. but they did it. Anyone remember the write-up of the two door Jetta featured in SCC? The amount of work and cost is quite enormous. Just custom corner glass alone was in the thousands.
