    ...Have you stopped to take notice of this place for the last week? Have you noticed how relevant and calm most of the discussions have been? Sure, there was some of your garden variety animosity with curly and esperunit, but otherwise, it has been pleasantly quiet and intelligent here. The new threads that have been made, even in OT, have been quiet and relevant. There hasn't been anybody shoving their personal agenda in your face, nobody telling you that you are stupid due to your education choices. I haven't seen a single thing on here that has been annoying or irritating in a week's time. Even EJ20 made a new thread, that while it was stupid, it was still tolerable and posted in the appropriate forum. Even the thread title was spelled correctly.

    So, I invite all of you to reflect on the troll-less week we've enjoyed. For tomorrow, it ends, and the general intelligence of this place will return to the bottom of the bucket.

    Thanks for a great week everyone. I'm stocking up my liquor cabinet in anticipation of tomorrow.

    Yeah well, he's MY inconsiderate ass. :p

    Still though, it's been nice to not have to argue in each thread, and to see relevant posts ... even if a lot of them ARE off the wall, they're not as bad, the whole place isn't as wound up as it was this time last week. Everyone is more relaxed, even people who hate each other are getting along better....

    Don't buy into the 'He's really a nice guy in person.' argument.

    In person he is forced to deal with people who will just walk away if he starts spouting stupidity and is at least smart enough to keep his tone civil.

    Anyone who knows me knows that I am just as controversial in person as I am online and also just as nice in person as I am online. That should be read as: No surprises.

    Taras is faking you out and you're falling for it, Nate. Don't be gullible. I am also willing to bet that if he didn't need your assistance in fixing/modifying his car you wouldn't see so much of him, either.

    I have actually gone over to his place now a couple times 1) to buy my LC-1 2) borrow a tractrix cable 3) to return that cable.

    Now by no means am I standing up for him and his posting or his txt messaging, but when you talk to him in person (when he is not all fired up and trying to show off) he is a tolerable person.
