I had a meeting with Gary Curtis from DonnyBrooke Motorsports last friday. I am trying to set up some road race events for next year. The meeting went well. We will need some major support from you guys that are serious about road racing in 2007. More details on this are to come.

The other good news....... Donny Brooke motorsports is having one last race event for 2006 at BIR. The event will be $265 for the day. This includes an hour of classroom in the morning and racing all day. If you are interested in attending this event, please contact me. Even if you want to spectate the event. We should have a group heading down from Fargo Monday morning. Ethan, Jeremy, Eric and Mandi made the trip last time and had a blast. The spectators do get to do ride alongs. Even the instructors are happy to give rides.... Nothing more intense than hitting turn 1 at 110mph in an Explorer!!!

    Date: Monday September 18th
    time: 8am
    Place: Brainerd International Raceway
Cost: $265 to race Free to spectate
    Track side lunch $15
List of the costs here: http://www.donnybrooke.com/shopmall.asp?CatID=57&ListUnder=47

I've been there and done that... I did 140 on turn 1 in my STi. Those were the days... but I'll be up there again and this time, it's got 4 rings.

what were your lap times like? I was just there on wed and it was a blast. My best lap time was a 1min 57sec and i know the car is better than i am. 140 into turn one is fast...i was getting over 145 on the straight (as long as turn 10 went well) , but i was backing off to 125-130 for turn in then slowly getting on it once in the turn. Anyways i'll definatly be back next year...hopefully with a few more mods:)
