Another rookie mistake... As some of you know I was freaking out on my exhaust a few days back....being too loud at stage 2. Well, I ended up buying an STi axle-back...it doesn't fit...My rear-exhaust pipe is too big. So, I'm just going to continue downshifting whenever I see the EP police... and stick with my Apexi N1. long story short. I have a beautiful condition STi axle back for sale....I just want what I paid for it...50 bucks firm... Dave
Sold- I will pay cash or paypal immediately! Noob question, I assume this includes the muffler and tip? Hopefully it will be at home on the Saabaru. Cheers Chris
Yes- NA Saab owners are using a 2.5in mid pipe from muffler shops rigged up to an STi muffler...I just don't know wheter to keep the resonator or not. Thoughts? Do you think this is unwise. I just hate universal fart cannons--especially on the Saabarus back end, but I dont want to pay 800 for a scoobysport or cobb cat back.
well i couldnt get one to fit on my RS so im thinking you would have to get a diff flange or mid pipe. it wouldnt cost much, just dont make the same mistake me and scuba steve both made, his pipe was to big and mine was too small
I am going to have a muffler shop make it work. If not I guess I will be stuck in the same boat and trying to sell it.
kk i had mine done at car x and i hated the job. if you can i would recomend meinke in shakopee, wrxboy2003 owns it and he has done great work, plus u get a discount
thanks for the recommendation.... I dont get the downshift part previously posted though... I always thought by d/shifting it puts it in a lower gear thius causing higher revs, thus louder noise... or maybe mine is backwards... ha ha ha
yeah, a bit of sarcasm....I've already been warned by the authorities that it's "Too loud"...they were very cool about it though.
Oh sure, buy the STi muffler to put on an 9-2x Linear while us poor Aeros sit and sulk! I hope it fits. Or that it doesn't.
Aaron -- if you don't find anything in the next couple of months, maybe we can work out a deal on mine. I've been lusting after a Prodrive oval tip for a while now.
Sure Tom, taunt me with the smell of unburned hydrocarbons... Speaking of power, have you heard any more about that open source code for the box? I want an AP, but if you can load a program onto Mike's and have it work, that'd be way cool!
