Hey, thats a great question! I have a good friend that has a high output turbo 9-3 saab. He has been wondering the same thing, because otherwise the places he has been looking around for have been expensive for his car.

Just thought since the question is being asked id see if anyone had ideas for a saab too!

Nope, it's a whole different ball game, as far as I know nothing domestic has been cracked. I'd love to be able to play around with my ford truck too.

I don't think there is really any open source software for domestic's. I know you can purchase some apps for a mere $1100 +

Sorry but your wrong. All GM ecu's can be tunned. Now you cant tune them as simple as open ecu but its not to bad to do.

They really want there beretta tunned? It depends on what year it is. On older beretta's they have chips that need to be burned.
All info for chips is at
    www.moates.net.

As for Ls motors you need to have LS1Edit in order to tune them. But you have to pay for the program.

No problem. From my understanding all the 98 and up GM computer can be tunned with LS1Edit. Due to the fact that all the computers are like the same. But the only problem is Ls1edit costs like 400-500 bucks for the program to tune one car. Its kind of like an ap it will only work with one computer. In order to tune any car with the program you need to spend like 2000 bucks for the unlocked version.
