Hello, i will be buying a wideband for my car before spring and i am looking for opinions and suggestions on what brands are good, quality, etc.

basically i want the best all around deal on the setup, good quality, good reputation and reasonable price.

i know a few people on here are running widebands and i would just like some feedback before i make my decision on what brand to go with.

    thanks in advance :)

Have been running the lm1 for 2 summers so far. Not 1 problem with it. I can use it with the utec and protuner software and it logs by itself. Other than having the extra box, it works great.

No, I've got an LM-1. The problem I had was that it came with a faulty sensor -- more of an issue with Denso than Innovate.

    Everything works just fine now.

I like my Zeitronix setup. The software is pretty decent too. It also logs other optional stuff, like EGT and boost.

Those of you with a wideband, are you running the sensor all the time? if not is the wiring ran all the time?

Mine runs all the time. If running a factory ECU, there's a narrowband output. If standalone, there's a linear wideband output. I think most widebands are like that.

I don't run mine all the time, but I am also using it to tune other people's cars. So trying to use 2 different sensors is just a pain in the ass. Since you can't calibrate the sensor in the pipe you always have to craw under the car and stuff. Since you are going to use it just in your car, I would install it and let it run all the time. The vw sensors can be had for under $40 shipped.

I have the Innovative XD-01 gauge kit. it has the LC-1 and the XD flat gauge. i like this thing alot. the gauge is sweet, only like 3/4" thick, and completely customizable. you can display whatever you want through it if you have it hooked up the the other unit (lm1?)

i ran mine 24/7 while i was turbo, it worked great there were a couple times when i needed to recalibrate it and that was it. i also had it wired into the ecu so i didnt need the front 02 sensor at all. the one annoying thing is that if you dont have a sensor plugged in it displays E2 constantly! really annoying but i am too lazy to disconnect the power to the gauge lol.

Are you sure it is the sensor?? I haven't had any problems with any of my vw sensors (have used 5 different ones). I did have some problems with some hardware (txs tuner), but I have never had any sensor problems. The sensors are pretty straight forward, usually they work or they don't.

where is the sensor positioned? they warn against plaing the sensor in certain areas to prevent burnout.
