So turns out I'm gunna be replacing the motor in my STi. I figure now is the time to replace the clutch. When done I should be around 400awhp. Looking for something stronger/better than stock, but not looking for a race clutch or anything, this is my DD, I drive it harder than most DD's but it is by no means a race car. Any advise / suggestions? Thanks, Dan
act is the way to go have put 6 clutchs in 3 of the clutchs are used for autox/drag and are still hold strong after 3 years
Ya, I had pretty much decided on ACT or Exedy. I think i want a Stage2 clutch if I'm not mistaken. Looking for more holding power than stock but not looking for anything pucked or a pain in the but to drive on the streets. Am I right with my assumptions?
I'm liking the Exedy (mainly because of the price). Not sure if I want stage 1 or 2. Any opinions / experience?
Wouldn't Exedy stage 1 be just a stock clutch? (somebody knows...) If you are set on an organic non-puck disc with the power you plan on making, ACT HDSS for sure
If u go stage one make sure you get the hd version or you won't hold much over stock power. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
