I guess I finally realized why they say that Subie paint is cheap lol. I do have some paint chips on my car that were touched up prior to purchasing the vehicle, but wanted to know if it's better to touch it up or taking it to a shop to do all the work. I do plan on getting a clear bra put on before winter as well. Comments?

I took mine to a reputable shop, and for a couple hundred bucks, they did a terrible job..... Hopefully somebody has a good recommendation. A lot of success has been reported on other forums using dr. color chip. That being said, I think all repaired chips will eventually fall off......

Just go to the subaru dealership and get the exact color touch up bottle with brush and just touch it up again

I just touch mine up, only one who'll know where they are is gonna be you.

I would highly recommend getting the clear bra done before the winter, call Chris at Flawless Frontends and he'll get you taken care of. His work is top notch and his prices are unbeatable. How bad are the chips? Any rust showing? If you're really concerned about it, I'd have a shop do it and then have Chris do the clear bra. If they're not bad, you can retouch them yourself and then get the clear bra done. Any of the 08+ paints are going to be thin and chip prone due to them being water based.
