Whats a good paint to paint my wheels. i'm painting my BBS's and I usually wouldnt touch them but they aren't in great shape so i figure why not. What type of paint works best. Prep work? Just a fine grit sandpaper all over? Thanks for any input. Andrew
I would assume a good sand then paint would work. Make sure you heat the spray cans up first in a bucket of hot water... that works really well.
use a scuff pad (synthetic steel wool) sell it at all hardware stores. it'll save your hand and get hard to reach places. i just bought wheel paint from o'reily's and a big can of clear enamel also for rims. good luck, do it soon while it's still warm. about 3-4 hours of work

I hit the search button and searched for KEYWORD painting.. got this many threads started asking teh same thng filled with all the info you want!!!
cool. And if i want to do them a flat black, would you still recommend the clear coat? Maybe several coats of black and then one of the clear?
^^^^ yes... do the clear no matter what... it helps against rock chips. I would do at least a few coats of clear.
any amount of clear will add some gloss. i painted my lightbar flat black and added 2 coats of clear - now it's more of a semi gloss (sorry no good pics of it) i've had no issues with just painting wheels a flat color and using no clear my old accord wheels i painted after 2 seasons (flat grey)
