Actually, she was probably detoxing since that has been the first 3 days of her life without drugs or booze.

I know that if I ever get a dui, if I spend more than 4 days in jail I will sue for cruel and unusual punishment.

It said she was simply refusing to eat the jail food. If someone refuses the food, and starts to have "medical issues" due to it, thats one issue. If they are causing unrest within the entire jailing system, they can be granted house arrest, ESPECIALLY when their sentence is so short.

I see two good causes to get her out of jail, even though I think she deserves the sentence. She's lucky she didnt get her DUI's in Texas. Look up their laws on repeat drunk drivers.

I see stuff like this proving that our system is practical. I would also see putting down people with consecutive life sentences that cannot receive parole as practical too. If someone does something that terrible, they dont deserve my tax money to stay alive. I believe the last numbers for a person serving life in a max security facility is around 80k a year.

Add up how many people we have serving consecutive life sentences w/o parole in the US (even at the previous rate), and then tell me we're wasting money in Iraq.

I mean our system is too lax thus people commit crimes because the punishment for them are not severe enough to prevent people from commiting them, and that is why it is broken.

Would they have let anyone else out if they were refusing to eat the food? I don't think so. She got out because of who she was. She should have been left in there for her time. Stick an IV in her if you have to. Unimpressed......

Oh, I have a great idea!

Let all the prisoners out and send them to Iraq...

    Two birds with one stone?

Either that or just convince people not to do bad stuff and not let idiots run the most powerful country in the world.

Or at the very least, beat the ho out of socialites and just keep them around as barter for closing new business deals by marrying them off to the highest bidder.

No no, that would be too cynical wouldn't it :p

I wonder how many people now are going to refuse to eat jail food so that they dont need to spend time in the slammer. I bet you she breaks house arrest, and gets tossed back in.
