So I ordered myself a little Absinthe to accommodate me to the PVD show this Thursday. Camera phone FTL. Anyone else going to the show. I'll be rocking VIP, driving my rental car to valet since the Cobra is in the shop :laugh: .
Holy!! Where did you get that bottle? I've only gotten the 120proof one from Sudruks. No I'm not giong. have to work friday morning. Plus it won't be fun without the roll. haven't done it for a long time and don't want to fall into that habit again.
Absinthe, although "prohibited" for sale in the US, is very easy to order online and get shipped over here. There are a number of British companies that will willingly ship it here, and they have a 99% success rate of it getting to your house w/o being confiscated. I ordered mine last Tuesday evening and got it yesterday, so 4 business days. Go to www.wormwoodsociety.org. Its a U.S. based organization that educates on absinthe. They have reviews, forums, and even a list of vendors you can order from who willingly ship to the U.S. I read on the reviews and forums and picked a very popular and well liked brand that was easily ordered from a store they had on their site. The laws on absinthe are quite convoluted and out of date. First off, its not an illicit drug like marijuana, cocaine, etc. Its a "prohibited" substance like other foreign animals/plants/etc. FDA says its a legal, yet there are other departments of the Gov't that say it isn't. Basically, its legal for personal consumption, but not legal for sale or manufacturing. The only bounds for confiscation is that you didn't pay any duty taxes on it. That's all they'll do though, confiscate it and probably drink it for themselves.

My friend is trying to get me to go but i got school early the next morning and i didn't want to be up all night rolling my ass off. My buddies got some molly's and wanted me to take some and go. Lols. I'm not super metro. I like nice/cool clothes, but no blown out hair. I used to tan daily though... I don't roll. I have buddies who used to and they won't be. they say there's only crap out there now, nothing pure. I stick to saying "pure PVD, no E".... Just a bunch of alcohol.
Oh and snowboarding while drunk is bad. I nearly got a concussion from attempting a corked f/s 540 after a couple of 40s. lolol.
That wasn't in my yard. That was back in the day at one of my friends parents yard. 3 of us drank a whole bottle at one sitting. No one was injured in a physical sense :laugh:
So how was it? I heard from friends that is was alright. The said that it wasn't as hopping as Teisto but fun enough. That's who I'll be going to see again is Teisto on Aug 22!!
Tiesto is overrated imo. I've seen him a few times, once in Chi town, Phoenix, and here. There are much better less known Dj's out there. But its worth seeing if you never have. have fun
^^ Yeah but he can move the whole floor and everyone. I went to his show last year and that was the frist time I've seen a DJ make over 1000 people in one place jump up and down with his beats. Thats what is impresive about him. Right when he came on man everyone was jumping. It was a hugh wave up and down. It was packed and no room to dance at all. lol
I had a blast. I ended up getting kicked out from too much alcohol. we had the best spots in teh house though. We were in the VIP next to the DJ booth so we were 10 feet from PVD the whole night, also had free Valet. We ended up going through 2 bottles between 5 people and about 20 shots, so everyone was pretty beligerant. I got kicked out at 1:20 walking from the bathroom back to our section, then my buddies started arguing with bouncers about my early exit. Not good. I'm just hoping the guy that hooked us up will let us come back for the Tiesto show to do it all over again. Will post pics in the photo section asap. We have some tight shots of Paul.
Damn, we shared the same booth then. I was with the Asian group at the other end of that booth. You guys might be the one right next to the DJ area while we're by the stage getting the bassline hit from the hidden speakers behind the curtain.
