Seagate Momentus 5400 250GB 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s $35 This is a internal notebook drive, but can be used in a desktop. Amazon price: $54.29 Western Digital WD Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM $75 Great, fast drive. 1TB is a ton of space. 3.5" internal desktop drive. Newegg price: $99.99 I'm moving in a few weeks and don't want to take this stuff with me.
