PGI Convention (now w/ vid)

hey all,

i am posting this form the Pyrotechincs Guild International convention in Mason City Iowa. tonight (friday) is the night of the big public display. so when i get back in town i will post up some pictures for all to see.

 

That's totally awsome. Did they always hold that in Mason City?

 

nope it travels around year to year.

in 06 it will be in appleton wisconsin and in 07 it should be in fargo.
i did not get to take many pictures. however i do have video fo the SuperString. approx. 30 million firecrackers put together in to one string. (and lit of course)

 

Please post pics or else I'm gonna have to 'tittywhop' you.

 

lol, i nwant to find some hosting for the video, its about 1.5-2 min long in 320x240 res. it is real impressive.

The PGI has had several stops in Fargo before. I was the front desk clerk of the ****ty Sunset Motel in W. Fargo that many of the PGI people stayed at.

The SuperString is friggin' insane, hehehe. I've seen it before.

Are they going to have another 26" shell shot up again? :shock:

 

there is a 24" (or was it 32) one in the making that should way over 1000lbs. i dont know where it will be shot.

i have always stayed at the mircotel in fargo for the convention.
