I've got a '99 EJ25D with a pretty screwed up crank snout. It's usable, but since we'll be doing head gaskets and such anyway, it wouldn't be much more work to split the case and put a "new" crank in there.....

I'm not sure what cranks are interchangable, but I have 4 blocks from 00-01 rs' and one from a 99. One should be in perfect condition, but 3 spun rod bearings. I also have a good 08 2.5i shortblock. if any of these would work for you let me know.

I don't know about the 08, but the 99-01 ones should all work. Machine work would make it better to use what we have (great bearings, chewed up snout), so let me know what you want for the good one.....

I am pending a trade to a subaru engine rebuilder for all my engine parts for one new shortblock. If it falls through I'll sell it to you

I also thought the 2.5 cranks changed half way through 99, are you sure they all work?

If block is phase 1, Use phase 1 crank.
If phase 2, use phase 2 crank
