Something I'm stealing from MNSBR and bringing to MNSoob! Here's how it works. You find a location that is a landmark or pretty well recognized location. The more distinguishing trademarks the better. Take a picture of your car/bike/truck in front of that location. Post it in this thread. Someone else from the board must find that location, and take a picture of their vehicle in front of it with their vehicle. Once you have proof that you were there, go find your own landmark, take a picture, and post it up for someone else to have to find! Gar! I got to my landmark today and forgot my digital camera! I'll get it put up by tomorrow night. Glad to see people find the game interesting!

ahh crap! I forgot again. I've got a pretty sweet location picked out for the first one. I'm out in the minnetonka/excelsior/st. boni/mound area, so hopefully the guys out here recognize it.
should we have a rule that you must go about 5 or more miles from the last location so they don't end up all grouped together? anyone want to google mashup this one on a map?
I think that distance wont end up being a problem. As long as people try to keep it interesting it should work great. As soon as people start going and taking pictures of really lame locations all in the sake of gas or time, we can switch over to a fixed distance.
This sounds very cool. Maybe mark it on a map after the location has been used. Maybe that is what ^^^ you are saying.

Okay here we go Check this out, it's a place you can add locations and tag them with photos. Once a site is confirmed add the/your photo to it. To add content to the map you must register with the site and then login. Then the "Build This Map" tab should be available to you.
i dont know where anything in the suburbs in in general, so it would be nice if we could do things in the cities.
Hey what about us out side the cities that go into the burbs more than downtown??? Why limit it, let it go where it may as long as it is within reason. Just my opinion.
Yea, it looks like there's a pretty good balance of locations on here. I think it's safe to say the "metro area" is where we should keep this thing. It's pretty broad.
haha if you take a pic in buffalo, i ain't driving out there. i am one of the statistically insignificant people on this board who actually lives in the twin cities it seems.
Not saying in Buffalo. That is a ways out. I am talking the edges like Maple Grove on this side of the cities for an example should be OK for those of us out further.
Okay, well I'm heading into the "edge" of the cities tonight, and will get a picture of my vehicle next to my location. should I post it in events, general, media, or OT? I think its only fitting we start a new thread to make this work more smoothly, and cut down on all of the sifting through of the thread as it grows.
I would probably put it in event. Kind of a grey area. Make sure you put the rules in great detail in the new thread. Do you/we want ONLY the pics posted and no text posts? No talking in the thread or is it going to be open to discussion? Post hints if needed? That sorta stuff is my questions?
okay, sounds good! Events it is. Should be there by tomorrow morning. A picture of the previous location (with your vehicle in the picture as proof) Then a picture of your new location with your vehicle in it, and a single clue.
I can add it to the Reccurring Events Thread in the events section. I think ongoing events count for that. We can link to this thread as the chat thread.
