So right now the photo rotation on the homepage is using the vbgarage photos. Sometimes they don't look quite right the way they get rotated, etc. I was going to go through my photos and just crop/resize/touch-up a bunch to fit the front page. If anyone had photos they'd like to submit, feel free. Once we get enough photos put together I'll see about getting the front page changed to use them instead. So, the image size for the front page is 510x250. So if you want to resize your photo, that's the size to use. Otherwise, I can do the resize and cropping. Also, if you want the lic plate blocked out or any other simple chop, I can do that too. You can email photos to [email protected]. Or link to them from this thread. Don't attach images to the thread if they're massive (>1024x768), just email them to me instead. Thanks, Joel
Sorry I didn't respond to your question, I didn't want this to become the thread with the new moderators discussion. There is an announcement here, http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14996. Thanks.
i know it sometimes ends up looking kinda wacky, but i kinda like the front page the way it is, because then if you see a pic and you're like... 'hey cool i like that car' you can click on it and it goes the persons garage thingy. I don't know if your new way of putting pics on the front page will do that, but it would be cool if it did... or maybe a reason to leave it as it is. Just a thought dave
Ah, I hadn't actually clicked on the image before. That is kinda cool. I'll look at the vbgarage a bit more and see how it works. Thanks.
I've got this one in vbgarage as well, but here you go: You can also use this one: The aspect ratio is pretty close and should crop well.
Ok, so if people want to upload images to the vb garage so they will look nice on the front page, here's what I've found so far. Make the width of the image 510 pixels. The height it a bit more tricky since the script attempts to display the center of the image. I made an image that was 510x383 and the part in the white box it what was displayed on the front page. You can kinda use that as a template.
