I will be in China for 2 months, located in Shanghai. Here are a couple pics of my appartment and out the window of my office nothing to glamorous.

I have not seen any Subaru's here YET, I have seen a bunch of Ferari's.

A friend of mine spent a month in Shanghai setting up a new 3M plant. His synopsis of China was quite interesting.

    Think born again capitalists.

A very old country that has been born again, amazing. BTW NOT cheep anymore.

BTW there are more GM cars built in China than in the USA and this was before the calapse. Its either VWs or GM Cars, with Buick being the top brand. And BTW if I could buy a buick like this I would own one in the states.

The landscaping is great and its clean, definatly not what I thought it would be.

The night life is off the hook, crazy stuff.

So far its been a great experience this weekend I go to Hyungju.

Yep your right, they use pavers with holes in them and the grass grows up through the holes. Its a great idea.

    Pics from Hangzhou

They call this city "Heaven", it is incredible. The have huge Tea Gardens here where you can sit down and drink the tea from the garden.

Ohh yeah just spotted my first Subie.

Of course KFC, you can find these along with Pizza Hut, Pappa Johns, and McDonalds. Guess what Chinese kids now are in the top 5 for being overwieght.

I saw 1 STi at the Pudong Airport last year.

And streetsweeper, you dont see the populous in pictures you see it in high rise buildings, and the cities/downtown like areas that never stop. You could take the mpls downtown area and just assume that goes on and on and on and never stops.

I can't take China to much anymore. I spent enough time there last year to get fed up with the air, standard of living and dangerous driving.

China however does have the nicest people and they treat foreigners very well. Better than Japan, Malaysia, Europe.

Make sure you get a massage..and im not refereing to the happy ones..the full body massage places in Shanghai are cheap and very nice!

Funny you should mention that I have a place in my appartment complex, they keep asking me why I don't stop in. I will tomorrow.

Where did you stay when you were here?

I have stayed in a few places since my gf lives in Hangzhou.

So Shanghai, Hangzhou, Jinhua, Xianju i think a few more places but i cant recall..

Word of caution, do not ever fly through Fuzhou. I got detained there on my way back to Singapore. It was a bit nerve racking but kind of my fault since my photo on my passport and ID were when i was a bit fatter and had dreadlocks haha. I am not back to my skinny self and short hair and they kind of freaked out..
