look pretty good. no tripod with me otherwise I would have been interested to see how the 400 f/5.6L would have done
thats awesome. i remember seeing the solar eclipse back in 04 or 05 (i think) and that was unreal, like nothing ive ever seen before
nice pictures. what camera/lens are you using? I tried to take a couple w/ my SD630. 3x optical zoom doesnt do much. I now have a couple pictures of a big white dot.
i'm way to lazy to see if the exif is intact but what settings? did you use a remote release or timer?
I just used the timer. I am really not sure on the settings. I think the Shutter speed was at 3" and aperture was at like 9 or so.
Cropped from the big pic, I was using the small tree in front of my yard as my tripod. 2 sec shutter, 400 ISO speed. Taken with Canon Rebel XT w/ SIGMA HyperZoom 28-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 MACRO lens
You should've tried to get some shots of Saturn while you were at it. It's the bright "star" at about the 8-o'clock position relative to the moon. My neighbor had his telescope out this evening and showed me; pretty cool.
Nice pics, ya'll. My camera is still too cold to see if any of mine turned out. Or maybe it's me that's still too cold... Anyway, good shots.
I did however resort to sitting on my porch listening to dark side of the moon while watching the eclipse. good ****
What are you talking about? I was out watching it in my shorts and a t-shirt. Oh yeah, you guys are still in MN. I think it hit 85F here today. Ft. Myers, FL. Got woken up yesterday morning by the sonic boom from the shuttle landing.
Taras nice pics, I to didnt have a tripod for my shots. But Mine didnt turn out to good. Plus Im a ***** and got really cold fast. Vector - I remember those sonic booms from when I lived in Orlando, damn things shook my apartment! Very cool to hear though.
