I'm waiting for it to get down to about $10 before I buy it.
The reviews for it have been pretty bad. The "mini-games" are reportedly just DDR-style things that have nothing to do with driving, and the customization is just wandering around buying parts until you find the ONE particular part that makes the customization mission count as "successful".

If you want to do some major visual customization, besides the obvious "NFS:Underground" series, check out "Crash'N'Burn" for PS2. It's not an A-list title, but I've had tons of fun with it (both the racing and the customization). Note: Does NOT contain licensed cars, and performance customization is merely distributing points into 3 categories (accel, topspd, handling). But there's a huge variety of body kits that make the generic compact, pickup, muscle, and sports car look way different.

Another one, if you like driving old beaters on dirt tracks, is "Test Drive: Eve of Destruction". That lets you actually custom-paint (like, move the spray can around with the analog stick!) your cars... but it doesn't let you fill in the rust holes. Lets you race buses and hearses along with the usual lineup of vehicles, in tons of crazy events (figure8s, red rover, kamikaze races, etc etc)

And, of course, if you're into car customization: "Lego Racers 2". LOLz! (I actually just bought the PC version of this for a few bucks, haven't tried it yet tho)

rskm1...thanx for ur suggestions...but im not likin how any of em sound! lol i like the whole paint thing....but on ****ty cars?! whats the point?! lol

Well, there's "Juiced", but I only played the demo for 2 laps, and was completely undewhelmed by the lame arcadey physics engine so I never bought it or tried the customization stuff.

I'm sure you know about "Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition" already, right?

There's a highly underrated racing game out there called "Enthusia" with incredibly realistic physics (yes, better than Gran Turismo, IMHO) and very good performance-tuning capability (e.g. gear ratios!) which is actually useful and WILL help you win races if used wisely. It's somewhat hampered by the way its career mode is designed, and there aren't a lot of VISUAL tweaks you can make to the cars, but this is a MUST-OWN for fans of driving SIMULATORS. (as opposed to driving GAMES).

Note that this game focuses on ordinary street cars, including crappy little 3-cylinder euroscooters (Subaru makes one!) and hybrid minivans. (scoff all you want, I soundly trounced an Audi on a dirt track using that minivan! And the 3-cyl Suby (with heavily modified gear ratios) will obliterate cars a class above it on the oval speedway, which earns you mad rewards in the game)

I dunno if it was here or rs25.com, but I think I mentioned that "Enthusia" has a GC-era WRX (EU/JDM spec), and the mighty 22B! (Sadly, the poly model for the 22B isn't a widebody; it just looks like a GC WRX with different wheels/wing/frontend)

Oh sorry, I misread the title of this thread as "Pimp My Driving-Game Collection"... ;)

I haven't tried it, I'll leave that question for somebody else.

But I'll be sure to chime in if you ask about ancient sh!t like "Super Runabout: SF Edition" (one of my favorite Dreamcast games ever! Where the hell is the NY Edition that was planned for PS2???), the 3DO version of "Need for Speed", or "Victory Run" for the TurboGrafx-16... 8-D

    GT4.

Sorry but I do not see the point of the game. pimping out your car and crusing around doesnt really offer and satisfaction to me.
