In my final push to get this house sold, I need to get the inside painted. The more the merrier. I'm thinking either Friday after Firestone, the 18th of June, but that would lead to late night work. Or, Saturday, during the day. That would likely work better for most people since you wont be painting rooms into the early morning. I'll provide pizza, and either cheap domestic beer, or some 6'ers of decent stuff. If you've never been here before, we have one of the best beer/liquor stores in the state right around the corner...if there is a beer you want, they likely have it. And we are really good friends with the owner, so if you don't see it on the shelf, 9 times out of 10, they have it stashed somewhere in the back. You WILL be required to paint though, at the end of the day, I want every single room in the house painted. If you come intending to freeload free beer and pizza, I will cover you in paint, and then toss you to the curb. I need to get a show of hands of those that want to help, so I know how much supplies I need to pick up. NO HANDRAISING! If you post that you can do this, you'd better show up.
I'm trying to get out of something. Maybe... just maybe... I can break free to help. If you still have it, I'll take warm Dr. Pepper and Rum. ( I'm allergic to beer) Questions that might help everyone decide. Are you painting all one color? Will it be taped in advance? Are there rules about/against putting paint hand prints on the girl's butts? Is moving furniture required? Who does clean up? No commitment yet, but keep in touch. I'll let you know.
It's all white, and I guess I could spend all week taping, but I'd really rather not. Also, don't touch my ass. I think I'll be the only girl around, too, and I don't like touchy feely games... but if there are other females around, by all means grab at them. Yes, moving furniture is required, but it's not that much to move - some couch bits, a tv + stand, and an executive desk. and um, there's a trash bag? for cleanup? I guess? If you're referring to who picks up the plastic and **** after painting, well I'd like to think that you guys would help with that, considering it's part of finishing up the job. I guess I can play trash monkey. We've done the whole house painting once already, but it needs another coat. That's pretty much all this is, it's not a whole day's work - with a few people per room depending on how many people we get, it can be done in a matter of a few hours. We just can't do all this work alone, and Jason's been pretty much killing himself doing it. And I can do a bit better than warm dr pepper and rum ... I do have a fridge you know :laugh: ...and a fully stocked liquor cabinet.
