I couldn't have the sound on @ work, so maybe I missed something in the video, but I can't help wondering how the accident went down. It looks like the motorcycle ran straight into the side of the Subaru. I just don't have sympathy for people getting killed on motorcycles if they are driving like idiots. I'm not saying that's the case here - I don't know. But, for example, if a guy on a bike blows a stop sign or a light and t-bones a vehicle, well, then I feel sorry for everyone else who has to deal with it, but not the motorcyclist since it's his own dumb fault.
I'm not trying to talk sh. I'm well aware of how many bonehead driver's there are on the road. No need to yell.

Np. I was only talking about when the bike rider is being an idiot (which does occasionally happen). I absolutely hate it as a car driver because I know what can happen if it goes bad, and I certainly don't want to be the driver of a vehicle that ends up plowing down a motorcycle. At least it's fairly rare to see motorcyclists on cell phones. (I swear 90%+ of the bonehead drivers I encounter are talking on their cell phones)
no but when the amount of stupid people in this world out weigh the smart ones, you are bound to get hit or crash your bike because of other drivers.
As a former motorcycle rider, I'm afraid I have more care for the safety of most of them than they do. Yes, people don't see cycles. But 99% of the dangerous situations I see are caused by the squid.

well a Kid I mentored a few year sback just got killed 2 days ago riding a motorcycle... van turned in front of him... so until you know what you are talking about STFU... your comment is exactly why i dont give a rats about guys who mod their cars with what they know is illegal kods then bitch when the cops follow them or pull them over etc... or speed and cry when caught... I hope no one close to you makes an error in judgement that is fatal for I fear I would have to come in here and say.... SUCK SH*T ******* for them... nice hey... grow up

This thread is getting hot. Look - I clearly stated that my opinion applied only to people driving like idiots. And just to clarify, since I feel like I'm being repeatedly misread. I said: Frankly, that opinion, as far as I am concerned, applies to people operating any type of vehicle, not just motorcycles. Don't take it as sh* talking about cyclists - that's not what I'm saying. I'm ranting about careless, reckless, thoughtless drivers who get themselves and others hurt. It just happens that if they're operating a motorcycle it's often a more horrific and deadly event. But I maintain my opinion that I can't sustain a significant level of sympathy for a routinely idiotic driver injuring themselves because of their style of driving - no matter what kind of vehicle they are driving or how many wheels it has. (and in case it was missed - I'm not even saying or trying to imply that the accident mentioned in this thread was this type of scenario - I have no idea) Oh, and FYI - I don't mod my car with what I know is illegal and I don't bitch if the cops follow me or pull me over and I don't speed and cry when caught.
