Crank sensor. Is your fuel pump working? Have you replaced your sparkplugs lately?

Could be fouled plugs. I ran into that issue with my grand prix back in February when it was -30 out.

They will be caked in grey or black crap on the spark element. And if you turn the key to the 3rd position (not all the way over) you should hear it buzzing in the back seat, passenger side.

Also, check your fuses. Do you have any aftermarket stereo equipment?

On Monday Brian came over and did my timing belt, altonater belt, powersterring belt and we replaced the oil pump seal....thats all we did while he was there...but we did not try it at all...after he left I did an oil change and then test drove it and it was PERFECT comoing out of the drive wa but two blocks later at a turn I lost power sterring and my car shut off...now it cranks but won't spark to turn on....

Ok so some cliff notes to know that I have all the facts straight.

Thursday: you changed plugs and the car drove fine after.

Sunday: you borrowed your car to someone who you think put 87 in it but it still drove fine.

Monday: Brian did a T-belt replacement then left with out starting the car. Then you did an oil change. And when done you took it for a test drive and it shut off. Then the car had a code for crank sensor.

Wednesday: You replaced the CAS and the car still does not run.

    Is this correct?

Did you reset the ECU after you put the new CAS in?

Does the car still have the same code after you reset the ECU?

Ok so that answers those questions. IMHO it is all to coincidental to say it is a fuel pump. You can certainly verify that when you are in the garage with the directions Jason gave you.

Pull the fuel line at the fuel filter. That will tell you right away if you are getting fuel or not.

Do you have any kinda of engine management??

ok I am in the garage right now...and there is a sound in the back of the car...which I guess means that the fuel pump is working...but I'll try and disconnect the fuel filter....and the answer to the engine management is no I don't have a anything for engine management...

if it will help him fix his car you should say something now, not after he spends hours trying to find the problem...

I can't think of how that would break from driving, those teeth should never come in contact with anything. It seems more likely that gear may have been damaged when it was taken off to change the oil pump seal. But it doesn't look damaged from the pic, I don't see any marks or scratches on it. It could also have been a mfg defect in the part... It's odd that only ONE tooth broke off.
