plug 006 Forester Stereo in a 2002 WRX?

    plug 2006 Forester Stereo in a 2002 WRX?

    I found a deal on a 2006 forester MP3 factory stereo. Does anyone know if it will directly plug into a 2002 WRX?

    Not sure, but most subaru stuff is interchangeable. It's pretty easy to take the deck out and check.

    I would say yes, but I do not know that as a fact. I pluged my 02 wrx 6 disc changer into my dads 97 legacy with no problems...

    i think as long as it's a double din stereo, it'll work.
    and if it doesn't, you can just re-wire it to do so.

    BTW if the stereo is as good as the one in my04, free is the only good deal, heck I'm not so sure I'd go as far to say even that is a good deal... Worst sounding radio, I've ever heard. The speaker with an aftermarket deck actually work fairly good.

    In other words, I'd save the money and spend it ona real deck, like an alpine, you shouldn't have to spend too much, I would think $200 would get you a nice deck.
