In another display of my luck with this car, I got a flat tire last night on the highway. A local shop plugged my tire. I am wondering if I should just go buy a new one or roll with the plug.

roll with the plug, if the hole wasn't that big it should hold for a long time.

Ok, cool. The service guy said it should be good to go until the tire is finished, but I just wanted to make sure it was all good. Thanks man!

use a patch-plug. A plug by itself is not a good enough repair. Unless you are taking the car to the track, a patch-plug will be fine for daily driving.

If they took the tire off the rim, it's ok, if they didn't then bring it somewhere that can.

plus, if you get a new tire its going to be a big wasted because you are going to have to shave it down to match the others tread depth.

They actually have a device with a blade with a hot blade on it that will trim a tire to a certian tread depth.

You have to be close in tread depth on these subys, other wise the diffs get all fubard.

Actually a plug will be fine depending on where it is. If it's not in the outside/inside 1" of the tire your okay. If it is, then cornering may rip it out. A plug patch is a waste of time if your still driving on RE-92's cause there crap! Plug patches are meant to last quite a long time.

And with the tread depth...It's within a 1/8" or 4/32nds of tread...otherwise your askin for trouble!!! That goes for tread design too.
