Aight folks. I finally got off my lazy azz and did it. I have been reluctant up until now because polishing metal is time consuming. But I started last night at around 9pm, here is my results.

Here you can see the damage to the lip

Another shot of the damage. This is what brake fluid does to clearcoat.

Here is a shot of my progress. I still need to get the elbow grease into it with a good metal polish compound, but the results are gonna be awesome. The finish here is after wet-sanding and a quick once over with NEVR-DULL.

I'll probably wear this shoe to Firestone on Friday so you all can have a peek. By that time I hope to have my final polishing done and a couple coats of clear coat to protect it.

Hopefully I'll have two of them done by Friday. I still need a finishing polish...I guess I forgot to buy some. Then I will clearcoat the lip. Or not, not sure whether I want low maintenance or high bling.

I usually use Duplicolor wheel coating. Probably 2 coats will do.

I'm still working out a price. It is a very tedious and time consuming project. And it requires alot of pricey things that I have had to buy. I need to check reciepts and come up with a price. I'll let you know. But it will definately be less than 240/wheel ;)
