This is all that is left of my Subie. Just talked to the insurance company and it sounds like they are totalling it out but have to get another person out to look at it.

I don't see the need for a second opinion...that car is unfixable. Enjoy your new car :) Glad you are ok. (I'm assuming you are ok since you are posting on the internets.)

Wife and 2 little ones pulling out to take a left turn and did not see a toyota truck coming down the other way. The toyota was going about 55 on impact and he rolled 4 times he says. Everyone is okay though. Just a little sore.

They did an initial estimate today on the car and they are trying to have me fix the car. They say the car has about 10,600 in damage which is about 3,000 off what it needs to be but estimate was done without lifting hood. I do not want this car back. It has been my experience that it will never be the same after an accident like that. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions???? They are hauling it to the dealer tomorrow for a more thorough estimate.

I agree completely. Any ideas on how to get them to see it my way? Will they give in if I just keep telling them I do not want it fixed?

im sure once they look at the engine they will find more part to replace bringing the total above what is needed. How do they know they can fix it they havent even put it on a scope to see if the frame is fixable. Lets hope they total it for ya. And i am glad everyone is ok!

If the right body-shop repairs it, it can be the same.... but make them lift the hood and do a final estimate, I'd rather have the money and get another car.
